Brigette Davitt is a graphic designer, artist and
educator in Pittsburgh, PA. She loves rye manhattans,
alt metal and photographing her son, Jack.
Professionally, Brigette spends most of her time as an Associate Professor of Graphic & Interactive Design at Edinboro University. She has also taught the Graphic Design Summer Art Workshop at Temple University Japan (Tokyo) and as an Adjunct Professor at Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia) and Point Park University (Pittsburgh). She received her MFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and her BFA in Applied Media Arts: Graphic Design/Photography from Edinboro University. 
Brigette has served on the Executive Board of AIGA Pittsburgh as Education/Portfolio Chair (2010–2017) and is a long-standing member of AIGA | The Professional Association for Design and AFNWPA (Advertising Federation of Northwest Pennsylvania). Her professional practice includes research, contract design and consultations for various clients as well as public art and service donations to numerous non profit organizations. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been published by the American Advertising Federation, HOW, Creative Quarterly, and CMYK.
